The channel go blue started about three years ago when Shytown began playing
Diablo online. He met Durnan on Battle.net
and decided to create the private channel go blue as a joke since Durnan
went to Michigan State University and Shytown was at The University of Michigan.
Durnan and him decided to level their characters up together. It was the first
online gaming experience for both. The channel name stuck and they always met
there to chat.
Both eventually moved on to playing Starcraft and still met on the go blue channel.
Since then, other friends and Battle.net acquaintances have gathered there. Although Some of
the group members don't represent the school, they accept the channel name. It serves as a nice
meeting place for coordinating games and discussing our games and strategies.
